But the problem is that many runners forget all of the steps between the first one and the goal.  If your goal is to run under two hours for the half marathon then you need to be honest about all of the little steps to get to that goal.

I recruited my hairdresser, Emily to join us for the Tuesday Track Club.  Emily is a super fast marathoner and just starting to do track workout!  We are three ladies strong now!

I was nervous about this workout.  My groin was still super tight and I knew speed was going to aggrivate it even more.  But I stretched it all night.  It was tight this morning, but I was able to finish the workout.  I hope I wasn't being dumb.

Today was 8x400.  The thought of doing 800's made me want to vomit.  It was still a great workout and having another person there breathing down your neck was awesome!  My times are getting faster....slowly but surely!  Next week we are going to do mile repeats....ughhhhh....

thanks for the tips about atlanta. i walked passed a mellow mushroom the other day and remembered your comment. we will definitely check it out later. i also attempted to run in piedmont park but i got a little lost. i'm sure i will find my way there soon enough. :) thanks for the other suggestions as well.
