This was my first speed workout since August AND my first speed workout on a treadmill. I've always had a hard time with speed - mostly the mental toughness of hurting and "going to the next level". It took me awhile to figure out what speed I needed to be at - next time I will start at 8.2 and work up.
1 mile warm up 5x400 1-2 min - speed level 7.6 2-1.38 - speed level 8 3-1.37 -speed level 8.2 4-1.37 - speed level 8.5 5-1.35 - speed level 9 1 mile cool down
