Nice long run yesterday & following up with 6 today! Let's shoot for a track workout in a couple weeks, I want to spend the next two weeks getting faster so I can keep up with Alex!

sounds good

- how are the legs feeling?

From JG on Tue, Oct 25, 2011 at 14:02:19 from 71.59.27.33

Still pretty tight, but not too bad as long as I do not have to go down steps! :) I usually go into a bit of a post marathon running funk, but I am anxious to get back at it and go after a sub 3 at Boston! Just need to figure out how I am going to tackle training ... I go back & forth between whether I should be doing speedwork or building base miles running slower!

I sure do know all about that post goal-race funk. It happens every year (maybe not this year). I also know what it is like to miss on your goal and be all ready to go asap.

Considering that you have until April, I would work on base up until 12-16 weeks out and then start building up those key workouts (tempo/Mid-LR/LR). In the base-building I wouldn't see any reason why not to work on some speed - maybe some 800 or 1k repeats.

Not that I really know anything about this stuff. :)

Nice job, Tim. How's the foot feeling?

From timp on Tue, Oct 25, 2011 at 14:36:24 from 144.188.24.32

Hey Dale - it is ok. More of the same thing- nothing bad this week at least.

How are you feet and back?

From DaleG on Tue, Oct 25, 2011 at 14:51:15 from 71.199.57.238

My back feels all better, but my foot still hurts in the same spot. After all the time I took off this year, it's apparent that it won't go away, so I'll just have to deal with it. Thanks for asking.

Glad the back is better - that's good news. Now we just need to get that foot fixed up.
