A little fatigue in the foot so I am being smart- at least for the day.

just shy of 12 miles on the bike - 14.8 ave.  I sure am slow.  Great workout.

Nice job taking it easy. My whole body was feeling fatigued Tuesday night and Wed. morning, so I took all of today off.

I wonder why Marc disabled his blog?

Thanks Dale- I just need to remind myself that bike rides are just as good or better than an easy 6 miler. My pace doesn't show it, but I'm huffing and puffing like I don't on a normal run.

Not sure about Marc. From his posts earlier this month, I think he's just taking a break from the blog.

Good job on the bike Tim. I missed my usual Tuesday bike ride this week. I'm looking forward to getting it done tomorrow though. I think the avg speed on the bike is only relative to yourself on that bike. Bike quality makes such a difference in speed, but at least you will know how your are doing compared to your past rides when on your bike.

Thanks Rhett- yeah I really have to be killing myself to get into the 15mph ave pace on this bike. I'd love to try a good one someday. I've never even used toeclips or clipless pedals. I'd be curious to see how that changes the whole biking experience.

Wise move & great biking Tim! When I bought my $180 brand spanking new Schwinn Varsity, the one thing I added was clip pedals, in part because I already had the shoes for Spin class on the advice of the instructor! Anyway, they make a huge difference and give a much better leg workout, because you can pull up versus just pushing down & going limp for half of the revolution! I got the clips on CL for $20 & the shoes were like $30 on Amazon ... a good investment that you can transfer to a new bike if you ever get one.

thanks JG - I looked into getting some a while ago - maybe I'll have to pull the triger on some finally.
