Broke my own rule and ran today.  Felt good so I went out for a short one.  I just didn't want to ride my bike.  Enjoyed the run.  

I can feel the fitness bubbling under the surface.  I think if I can be consistent for a couple of months I will be back to a reasonable level and then I can start training for something specific.

thanks you guys. Took last week off - went on vaca with the family. Feeling good and ready to get back at it.
