Just a short day today.  Slight pain in my foot at times during the run.  Nothing afterwards though.  Will monitor it closely.  Felt good except on the last mile where I felt out of fuel.  Not much lunch and no snack so that would explain it.  Still a decent pace compared to many this last month or so.

I'm kind of excited and nervous for my 4 mile race on Sat. I usually go out too fast on this course. If I can reign myself in for the first 1.5, I will have something left. It is "moderately hilly", as they say on the website. This course is hard to fly in the first mile and then just hang on.   Last time I ran it, I got a 23:31 and the previous year was a 23:32. I won't see those times but I've lost a lot of fitness since 2010. Low 6 pace would be a step in the right direction. Maybe beat 25.  With my 10k time last week, McMillan puts me in at a 25:19.  I think I'm in better shape than that.  We shall see.
