Debating with myself whether or not I should sign up for a fall marathon.  Thinking about signing up for the Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon in Nov.  or the Atlanta marathon, on the weekend before Halloween.   I really don't want to do one just to slog through it.  However, it may just be the thing to motivate me.   I think I'll see how training goes the next month before I commit the $$

Today was an encouraging run.    I turn away from home at the 4 mile mark and added about 1.5 miles to the run.  Felt good nearly the whole way.  Got a little tired at the end but didn't slow down.

Is the Chickamauga your PR course. Run that one for the good vibes.

Hey Smooth- I'm leaning that way I think.

Hey Rhett - yeah I've had a few PR's on that course and only a 90 min drive, so not too bad for travel. I'd be shooting for a masters PR this time (no marathon's since turning 40). :)

thanks Allie _ I guess I'm just scared that I can't get anywhere close to where I was a couple of years ago. Never know if I don't try, right?

Great run Tim! I'm with Rhett, I would go with the positive vibes of Chickamauga ... not too mention Atl has some not so fun hills! Savannah might be a fun one to consider too ... but that does involve more of a weekend!

You might not be where you were peaking a few years ago ... but I guarantee you will get a Masters PR! :) Count me in for some joint long runs in the fall if you sign up, I am doing NYC Nov.5.

Hey Jon - thanks for the input. I appreciate everyone's opinions. I am certainly leaning towards Chickamauga.

I will be all over those long runs, either way.
