5.3 total - ran Q to dance and then ran to the track.  2x800 in 2:52 with 400 wog (jog/walk).   2x400 @ 1:26 and 1:22 with 200 wog.  Ran really slowly home.  Now, I know this is no great track session, but I have not done any speed work in forever.  Here's to the start to a good summer training block...cheers

You are so dang fast! Got any big races coming up?

ah Slick - still havne't signed up for a fall mary. Just want to see if I can handle the training. Up until then there are 4 mile and 5K races. That'l be enough to get things moving.

I love it too. Good on you for keeping the faith. Ease back into it and do it right! You've noticed that I'm doing quite a bit less than last year? I don't recommend doing 12 in 12 to anybody. It's just too hard on a body!

WOG!!!! I have never heard that. LOVE IT!!! :) :) :)

Nice job on the track!!!

Slick - I'm adding a little each week as long as I am healthy. So far good. I know I couldn't do 12 in 12...maybe 1 in 12 this year.

Thanks Teena - yeah coined a new term :) And I'm feeling good after that little bit of speedwork, so I'm encouraged.

GREAT NEWS!!! :) (And I love your linguistic prowess!!!)

Ha, I've been doing a lot of WOGs lately! May have to borrow that word! :)

Your running and training this week are awesome! Glad to hear you're improving. And your speed is always impressive even when you were having foot issue.

VERY HAPPY for your successful speedwork! GOOD NEWS indeed! :)

thanks a lot Smooth! I hope your foot feels better tomorrow. Yesterday I was running on the road to the track and ran over a big tree root - twisted my foot funny. It hurt but fortunately it didn't last. I still get the feeling that I am one mis-step from going back to square one.
