10 miles, AP 7:54

Waited until a little before 10:30 this morning so that I could run in the heat. Heat has always been my nemesis, as it was today as well. I just feel icky when it is hot. Don't we all? When I left it was 78 degrees, when I got home it was 82 degrees. I stopped in the middle of my run to lay in the intersection of 5 different sprinklers. Then again to drench my tank in a drinking fountain a few miles later. Seriously, I am such a baby.

Took ibuprofen last night to reduce some of the inflammation, I also taped up my leg. It faired fairly well during the run, which makes me happy. :)

Happy Saturday everyone!

I am so excited to see how Walter does tomorrow. I have thought about it a hundred times on my run today. Beyond amazing!

A huge congrats to my SSF as well on her PR this morning. WAHOO!!! :) :) :)

YAY!! Thanks for posting a preview to her blog :)

I'm glad you did okay on the heat run. I like heat, but when I'm running it just makes life SO much harder! A sprinkler bath is perfect.

Yeah for Smooth, so glad we have you to fill us in! And she said she would not do well, I should know better not to trust her on judging her running abilities!

I love the laying down in the sprinklers, it feels so good! 5 times sounds heavenly, glad you could find that many that were on! I hate heat, so I run early. I would be wise to get more used to it, but I just can not do it.

Have a good weekend!

Rachel~

You love the heat? I love the high 60s and low 70s for most things ... but for running I like the 50s. :) :) :)

Kelli~

It was 5 sprinklers at one location. I found a spot in the middle of all of them. It drenched me. :) :) :) Smooth is hilarious. She has PR's TWICE this year!!!!!! :) :) :)

OH, I am a bit slow! I see now. I did the same thing this week at the high school, I practically took a shower!

yes, heat! LOVE it! My favorite temperature is when you sit outside (shade or no) and you can just feel the sweat drip down your back and the sun warming your whole body as you do NOTHING! ahhh, how I love heat! But, like I said, running is different.

Running in the heat is the worst. I was up at 5:30 and running by 6 AM, but it was still too hot. October can't come soon enough.

i'm with RAD, i enjoy the heat. but it definitely makes for a challenging run. it's great training though! great job.

Glad your leg is feeling better! What did Walter do? (I'm assuming that's a runner friend on the blog?) Have you decided about DNews yet?
