7. 5 on the treadmill. I tried Dave's interval work-out, but I didn't get too far. However, I did have a pretty good work-out - sweat flying all over the place, my poor treadmill needed a good hosing after I was done.
After warming-up for the first 3 miles I decided to start my 5 min/mile intervals. I thought if Dave can do it, I can do it. Sure enough, I took it up to 5min/ mile pace and felt like I was cruising in place. My first quarter was fine, second quarter was fine, but my third quarter I felt the treadmill handle moving further away, luckily I was able to save myself seconds before flying off the back by jumping to the side rails of the machine. After eating a piece of humble pie I decided to keep it at 5:30 pace and that felt much better. |
