I currenty live in Southern Utah. My wife Kendra and I have 4 children and no pets. We also own/operate the St. George Running Center a specialty running shoe store in St. George UT.  We also head-up the St. George Running Club.

AM - Running Club Track workout. I'm still not 100% after running UV Marathon so I decided to go through the motions of the workout but just not push too hard. 400, 800, 1200, 1600, 1600, 1200, 800, 400 w/ 400M recoevery between each.

After we got home we went out and took Isaac and Isabel for at 3 mile run.

AM- Got up and ran with the Boy'z. Great morning until we watched puss'nboots get squashed by a Suburban.  The poor thing was carelessly crossing the street to get a mouse in the grassy field for breakfast. As we came-up on the cat Clyde spooked it and it turned back right as the Suburban was driving by. Oh, the horror!!!  It was like bambi jumping off the cliff in Zion all over again.

I think I'm going to start running with a small bell just to warn all the animals and save their lives. Everyone reading this should do the same.

Besides the killing. It was a good run. 10 miles.

AM 2 - Came home and did 6 more with Kendra.

PM - 7pm, Met-up with Aaron and Cody for our Thurs. Tempo. I'm still wanting to ease into the training again after the marathon so I decided to cut the tempo intensity and distance down a bit. I also wasn't really sure how I was going to feel so we ( Aaron didn't want to do tempo so he just ran with me) I just started off easy and picked it up a bit towards the end. Pretty happy with how I felt and wasn't too tired after.

AM - Morning 15 miler on the marathon course with the running club. Good group this morning - ended up in Bill's car with 7 (Bill, Loyd, Logan, Aaron, Cody, Dustin and Myself) of us crammed in. Just took it easy for the first few miles. My R. hip was acting up and was having stomach issues. After Quadsi & I hit the VPB at the top of Snow Canyon we started easing into a tempo. I really wasn't up for it,  but after a little music therapy with Logan I was good to start rolling.

I'm not sure what pace I was hitting for the tempo (no watch today).  Logan and I stayed together for about a mile until we hit Winchester and Logan's Quads started kicking in. After that I just tried to keep him as close as I could. Good solid effort. The hip was still acting up a bit and didn't feel too fluid but was able to get it done and have some kind of push the whole way. 6-7 miles tempo - 15 miles total

AM - Run with the club. Good group this morning. Really nice weather. Ended up doing the Tonaquint out and back. 6 miles then Kendra and I extended 2 and the end. 8 miles

PM - Went out and did 1.5 with the kids and family. Fun times.

 AM - Good workout this morning with the club. I think we had about 60 people this morning. Track flow was great - except for the walker that decided to walk in lane 1. We did 16x400M W/ 200m rest. I was able to keep it a nice consistent pace.  My goal was to keep it at 75 sec.
 I felt like I could have done 20 if I had to - but I was glad the workout was over.

AM - Got up and ran with the Boy'z - It was nice to have Tyson come along. Poor guy got an earful this morning.  As far as how I felt - I seriously was so tired this morning. I was totally spaced out and to top it off I felt like I had been hit by a 2x4 in the back and hips. 10.25

AM2 - Came home and did 6.50 with Kendra. 2xBloomington loop. Saw Ben Ford and chatted with him for a while and ran back to the house so he could borrow my FastPack. Glad I don't have to run until tomorrow and it's another easy one.

AM - 6 miles this morning easy. Bloomington loop extended on bikpath w/ 8 x 8 sec hill repeats.

PM - Set out to do tempo with Logan at 7pm - It didn't go too well for both of us. We only made it 3 miles and the 3rd mile was worthless. I think we need to move it to 8pm to make it worth while. 10.5 miles.

AM - Nice run this morning with the club. Car-pooled up from the store to Leeds for a nice 17 mile run. Good group. Nice steady pace nothing crazy.  Felt pretty good except for my hip acting up again. I thought I was going to be over 80 miles for the week, but I ended up hitting it exactly. Good week.
