Ran ONE mile outside and I was sweating.  This humidity needs to kick over quickly!  I am afraid Texas will be like this from here on out the rest of the summer.  :(

8 miles on the TM with a progressive workout.

1 mile home in a headwind.  It's either extremely humid and hot one direction or you have to deal with the beast from the East headwind. Only 3 more weeks until I get to run in Utah.

I'm assuming you haven't lived in Texas very long..? :-)

Sounds so familiar - if we run north, we die of heat and if we run south, the wind is terrible. Unfortunately, we have 3 more months of this lovely weather and July and August are worse....

Great job this week!

Thanks RAD, I am so excited!

IJR, I am not familiar with this heat/humidity. Everyday I want to cry a little more.

Jody, The wind is terrible, right? That is why I have to run North/South here, while you have to run East/ West. Then we will get a side breeze to somewhat dry the sweat!

There are days I would die without the breeze. I am a disaster when I am done running. I do like the humidity though when it comes to my skin - it is much happier here.

I really dislike running in humidity. I don't need help getting sweaty and wet!! Good work getting the miles in.

I would die if I had to run in that heat and humidity. Nice job.

Thanks for the comments ladies. Humidity is good for the skin but bad for the clothes, more laundry.

Jody, do you ever eat Blue Bell ice cream? Oh YUMMMMM! That is like the best treat in Texas.

From Jody on Fri, Jun 15, 2012 at 20:58:49 from 166.147.72.143

Mmmmm....I LOVE Blue Bell. key lime pie is my favorite and it is out right now. We always have two or three different kinds in the freezer. It makes Texas summers bearable.

We have a place in fort worth called sweet Sammie's that takes any flavor of blue bell and makes an ice cream sandwich with one of 12 different varieties of homemade cookies. The best!! You must try if you see come to FW.

Jody,

That cookie place sounds SO GOOD! Blue Bell is the ultimate and to have homemade cookies, really? Yummy. I haven't tried Key Lime Pie, we will have to give it a try. Red Velvet Cake is to die for! We try to veer toward the pint size, it's just too good to be true. :)
