Race: Weber State meet (2 Miles) 00:13:45, Place overall: 21, Place in age division: 2
Total Distance
7.00

Track meet was today. It was in Ogden at the Weber State University. I ran the 2 mile and got 13:45 on it i think. I Believe I was 21 overall, but im not certain. I got 2nd in the 2nd heat though! :) I like being in the slower group because then I can get close to winning! Its a great feeling. Anyway, I did a 3/4 mile warm up with Natalie, Olivia, Camille, and Tomy. Then we did a few drills, and I raced. then I went on a 1 mile run with a few people. It was raining and I was super cold and could not feel my legs so I was in the back. towards the end I couldn't feel my face either. Too cold for me, I don't like it. Then we cheered on everyone else. I was just gonna go home after that, but bill wanted me to stay for the 800. So i did. Bill, Dakota, Chris, and i went to Ihop with the Hursts. I had a yummy crepe!!! it was delicious! But I only ate 1 and saved the other 3 for later. Then we went back, and we had to wait about 2 more hours because they were so behind! ug. We did 3/4 mile while they were having a "lunch break"but then they kicked us off the track for more races. I did about a mile's worth of strides and did more drills before racing again. I Did the 800 and got a 2:55 on it. I am kinda in between liking that time and disliking it. I didn't know what to expect and I feel I could've done better. The beginning took me by surprise with the amount of pushing and elbows being used. I got hit a couple times. wow. But im happy because I usually do a 3:30 at the speed workouts. Then I did a mile cool down

Hey nice job! That 2:55 is good practice for the sub 6 you are wanting :D It's good to be somewhat satisfied and still wanting more after a race. We have moved to Hong Kong and miss the snow, so enjoy the frozen face while you have it, good times ;)
