Ran the usual route with Vern - well sort of with Vern. He got a head start and I only caught him with 0.1 mi to go! Vern claims to be nursing an injury, but this appears suspect :). It was hot and a bit more humid that the past week. I felt slow the first half. Felt better coming back and was forced to go a bit faster to catch Vern. Definitely didn't feel easy. Need to start my tapper for Sunday's race - hopefully the weather won't be too bad from the Hurricane. |
