Must have pushed it a bit much or didn't hydrate enough - my left calf seized up on me on the way back. Stretched it out and was fine for the last couple miles. |

The kids did pretty well, though Liam needed to get out and do his usual sprints. At the turnaround, after I told Liam that we were heading back commented from his stroller seat, "Good, I'm getting tired of running." - Hah! Had a good time at Panera's afterward with the crew. We were outside as it was a nice day. The babies ate bits of bagels and showed off for passers by. |

It was hot and a bit more humid that the past week. I felt slow the first half. Felt better coming back and was forced to go a bit faster to catch Vern. Definitely didn't feel easy. Need to start my tapper for Sunday's race - hopefully the weather won't be too bad from the Hurricane. |

Annapolis Ten Miler (10 Miles) 01:21:22, Place overall: 759, Place in age division: 85 | | 0745 - Finished another A10! It was humid with temps around 70 at the start. I felt good at the start, though I started too far back in the pack (again) to get a decent 1st mile pace. (Got stuck in the spot-a-pot line). 1st mile was around 8:48. I picked it up from there to do the first half in 41:33. My plan was to run negative splits for the second half which I did manage to do, though I didn't break 80 mins as I'd been hoping. I did finish faster than last year by about 30 secs :). I felt good with two miles to go, but I felt myself wanning the last half-mile as the finish seemed forever away. Overall the day was great. I enjoyed the run and the post race festivities. |

Not bad considering I went up the Bellimore hill. I actually passed a bicyclist coming up the hill!

0830 - Ran the Celtic 5 miler at Druid Hill. Did the fun run since the race was full up. It was a decent morning though a little on the cold side. I managed 35:35 for the distance. Fred Frey and Will Brown were there as well. I ran down to the event from home, so I added 3 more miles total for my distance for the day.
