Today I had a little scare, after running 5 at 8:30, random incline to 4.3% on the treadmill, I stepped off to get a drink of water before I was going to do 9 quicker downhill miles. When I stepped back on the treadmill my right foot (which is not the foot that was hurt earlier this year) just got a sharp pain. It hurt to put pressure on and I was hardly able to walk. So, I had to quit my workout. I think it was just a pinched nerve or something because by now everything seems alright.
Tomorrow I coach my girl's soccer team. I feel bad, last week they won 15-1, despite my efforts to keep the score down. (You just can't tell 9 year-old girls not to score, and when I'd substitute girls to different positions it just meant that different girls would just score.) I was sneaky in calling over two of my defenders for a substitution (the league allows substitutions on the fly so) which subtly enabled the other team to score.

Hope the foot gets better. Can't see your funny post today at work. And yet I know it's funny.

Hope the foot is nothing serious. I've coached on the other side of one of those 15-1 games. Not fun but hopefully the kids learn something from it anyway.

OUCH!! Hope its nothing which it sounds like it is. Only thing about tapers I dont like is the phantom pains that just pop up. And hopefully its just nothing.

Be careful Paul you are riding the razors edge. Better to back off a little and maintain then to push it for more gains at this point.
In regards to the soccer I am coaching three teams and have similar problems. Sometime I tell the kids they can only use their left foot. Or I yell lighting and this means let the other team score. The best seems to be when I tell them if you want to beat these kids again next season you better let them score or else those kids will hate soccer so much they will never want to play anymore.

I hope that foot doesn't become a problem.
My team had their first game last night and lost 3-2 in a hard fought battle. We really out played the other team, but they had one kid that was way faster than anyone else on the field, and he had 3 break away goals. Unfortunately you can't coach speed. My son did score the first goal of the game though!!!

Baby that foot Paul!! I know you say that it is fine now, but better safe than sorry.
Love the youtube link! Very cool.
Seriously, you are more than ready for SGM ... take it easy from here on out ... and take it easy on the other soccer teams!! Geesh ... 15-1!!! Seems like your girls have some of their coach's competitiveness! :)

Scary..I'm sure it was just one of those quirky little things...
Fun video..is it faked? (If not, I'm guessing there were a few hours of unused video to get those amazing shots) Cool stuff!
