Calf feels much better today, but still sore. I'm going to wait till Monday and give it another go. If I can't run without incident Monday, I'm not going to run any more until race day at UVM.

I'm sorry that I am a little late!! BUT ... I do think you are AMAZING and hope that this will be your best year ever.
Sorry about the calf. :(
Just wondering ... are you sleeping and eating enough?

A 40 year old Bishop cranking out 6:21 miles at the track? Are you kidding me?? 40 year old Bishops are supposed to be bald and pudgy with creaky knees and maybe able to run a 17 min mile at the track. I'm impressed. Now just get that calf healed up.
I'll bet the deep water running is going to be the cross training that will most help you succeed at UVM. What with it being the most similar to running and all. The principle of specificity, you know.

Thanks all for the belated birthday wishes. I can't believe I'm 40, but I'm excited to be in a new age group.
