Running Accomplishments:

Marathon PR - 3:05 (3:06 at Boston)

Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Consistent aerobic and strength training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Participate in 5k and 10k races.

Personal:

I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties.  Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation.  It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again.  Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

7 mi - Morning run before work. A little chilly and I was sluggish as expected.  Restarting my morning routine.

3 mi - Lunch run to get away from office.

6.75 mi - Lunch run that was suppose to happen in the morning.  Up late with sick dog.

7 mi - Slow jog before work.  Plenty of walking and sulking.  Disappointed by my level of aerobic fitness, but is what it is.  Not sure if I'll even get close to what I had 7 years ago.  One day at a time.

3 mi - Lunch run followed by 15 minutes of strength training including barbell deadlifts!

3.5 mi - Lunch run with 5 x pickups and 10 minutes worth of plyometrics.

5 mi - Morning run, no walking but did have a pit stop.  Weighed myself first thing this morning and ohhh boy do I have some work to do in that department.  All I need to do is lose 30-40 lbs to get down to 170-180, that's all.  A first world problem in more ways than one.

5 mi - Lunch run, 6 x pickups.  Nearly everyone at the fitness club had a shaker bottle in hand drinking some kind of special workout elixir.  Mostly the younger crowd.  The supplement industry still at work.

7 mi - All I could muster on the TM.  Had to stay home today.  Hopefully this week is a new start to higher miles.
