Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Consistent aerobic and strength training.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Participate in 5k and 10k races.
Personal:
I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties. Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation. It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again. Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

My first long run of this year. Felt crummy around the 1:45 point but slowly clicked out the remainder. Drank a lot of sports drink and water throughout as it was humid and I sweat a lot. Pace was around 8:30 to 9:30.

Looks like we both had good weeks. Are you pretty dedicated to weights? I think there is a gold there that I have not found yet. I am going to have my son take me through one of his "leg days", even though it will probably knock me out for the rest of the summer.

Yes, I work weights 1-2 times a week. Not a lot of sets or reps. Heavy weight with a long rest interval. Very important as we age, but it does zap the running a bit.
