planet walk to Logan high track, then 4 x 1 mile 6:00 each. planned on 5 but 4 is all I had. then off to lagoon for the day. 100 degrees. got there in time to get lots of rides in before the crowds showed up then it got real busy. that is my last lagoon trip EVER!!! I really hate that place.
I have decided I don't like these mizuno wave ronins I wore for mesquite. so trying to decide what to wear for TOU... my T4s are worn out. so I went on ebay and was lucky to find a new clearance pair of brooks T5s (old model) in my size for $46.00 with free shipping. cool. so I am planning to wear those. or maybe a new pair of nike frees... decisions, decisions.... I will wear the T5s for the half and see.

Hahahaha! You really have a vendetta against theme parks ingeneral don't you? What gives?

theme parks just aren't my gig. too many people, too many lines, been there way too many times for too many years... that's what happens when you space the kids out over 10 years. I just want to go camping or hiking and get solitude now at my crotchety old age.

i am trying to decide on shoes for TOU as well.

nice workout. as for lagoon - it does get old rather quickly.

Allie, how did you like running eugene in the frees vs what you wore at DN?

Lagoon.. it does get old.. and I have been too many times to count, starting probably in the late 60s. I remember when they added the log flume ride as their hot ride in the early or mid 70s- it was a huge deal. used to be a big boat parked on the lagoon, and paddle boats you could paddle around in, it has certainly changed a lot over 40 years.

I stopped going to my company Lagoon Day a long time ago. Too expensive and too much time waiting in lines.

scott - i loved how the nike frees felt running eugene. i was worried at first about how i would hold up in them for a full marathon, but they were perfect for the flat course. as for DN, i wouldn't have dared to wear them on those downhills. i wore my brooks launch, which were great because they are light enough for racing but still have enough substance to withstand the pounding of the downhill.
