I had signed up for the Farmington  turkey leg to run with Aaron and Nan, but just couldn't get motivated to drive down with the weather -3. So I ran 6 miles on my crappy home treadmill with the motor slowing and stopping occasionally. gonna be a really long winter

Scott, you should buy a real treadmill. You'll be glad you did. As a tenured professor, you've got to be rolling in the dough.

Steve, no thanks, I hate treadmills, if I bought one I would have to actually use it. and in the rare instances when I have to resort to one I might as well just use the ones at the university.

Sorry you couldn't join us for the race. We did pick up your shirt but if you ever want to see it you're going to have to come to our home for dinner the next time you visit Boulder. Memorial Day, right? Or sooner? This mild winter we're having could serve as incentive for you and the fam to come visit sometime this winter....

Nan, dinner would be great! we will almost certainly be in town for memorial My dad is trying to get me to ski a cross country race in northern wisconsin in February for his 35th anniversary of racing it or something- the birkebeiner, 38 miles of agony. anyway my brother David agreed to do it, so now if I don't I am going to look bad... and it is way worse than a marathon especially since I dont crosscountry ski anymore and it is a grueling course. sigh... oh well. I guess I need a break from running anyway?
