14.5 miles 7:38, SanMarcos trails.

carlsbad 5000  mens masters is tomorrow at 7AM. I didn't bring any racing stuff..I have my NB790 lightweight trail shoes or precision trainers and a tshirt and shorts...I ran 14.5 miles today... so should I run the 5000 or not before heading back to Utah? any suggestions?

hey that was fast, thanks Allie. I am going to go to the expo right now and then decide. do you want me to get you anything? nice new free shoes BTW. I do have my frees with me- would that be a good 5K shoe do you think? I have never done any speedwork in them.

i think the frees are a great 5K shoe. i did numerous 5Ks in my old ones a few years back and never had any problems. i guess it depends on what you are used to racing in, though. good luck if you decide to run it.
