No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

11:00am  Romans 8 -  1Corinthians 6

Happy Easter. It's not about chickens and bunnies. He rose from the dead to prove everything he said.

Into the wind out and back. I pushed the pace a little today because I was cutting it short. I planned to do 10m and got started too late. 10 tomorrow at or slower than MP.

4:30am Galatians 3 - 2Thessalonians 1

Everything is really falling into place this week. I'm feeling healthy, I finished a couple projects at work, my friend Preston decided to go to Boston with me on short notice and I was still able to get him a ticket for the private bus before it filled up, the hotel upgraded my room for no extra charge, and I even got 2 tickets for a tour of the Sam Adams brewery on Tuesday. All I need now is a tailwind on Monday morning :)

Pretty comfortable at this pace today, the last mile felt the best. I think the reduced mileage is making a difference.

I went out for a quick 3 and forgot to turn around in the middle :) I think I've exceeded my quota of miles for the week. Time to rest, for real.

5:00am

Taper FAIL! Still on the low end for mileage compared to my average for the last couple months and lower than last week, but I could not stick to my 30 mile goal for this week :(

I decided to run down to the coffee shop to meet Preston. It's only a few miles and I really wanted to run the downhill stretch to get a couple speedy miles in wthout a lot of extra effort. Hoping it will make MP feel a little bit more "normal" or "easy" on Monday. I met Preston in the park where he did a few strides, I picked it up a little bit, but didn't want to push it too much with anything out of the ordinary. I just let him go and caught back up on the recovery. I ran ahead for the last mile or so down Steilacoom hill at 6:05 and felt great.

After coffee I ran home(uphill) at less than a race effort and still dipped under MP. I'll give credit for that to the caffeine. No aches, no pains, and no worries this year. It's going to be a great weekend!
