10:00am Warrior Dash

All the kids bailed out for one reason or another(all very good reasons) so it was just me and my friend John with a few thousand warrior strangers(some stranger than others). We had a great time with no worries about speed whatsoever. If you've never done one of these you are missing out on a great time! Here's a few pics from our day. John is the one in the Hawaiian shirt and headcam. I should have some video from that pretty soon too.

Sweet race, I may have to try that.... ummm... or.. anyway the drumstick is worth it!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Mon, Jul 18, 2011 at 15:33:02 from 24.18.125.122

Dan - It was a blast! I wish my kids could have been there with me. It was a bummer for all their registrations to go to waste. I'll be back next year for sure, hopefully with the kids and brothers-in-law, and some more friends.

Sad your kids did not get to come, dang! But it looks like fun, all that mud. What beats that?

Cool race, my son just told me tonight he wants to do one with me. Love the cheek smear pic expressions! Looking forward to your next race report ... I am thinking 2 something ... even if it is 2:59:59.75! lol Good luck, your training has been rock solid!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Jul 19, 2011 at 12:39:41 from 75.244.37.253

Allie - It was more fun than a barrel of mud! I can thank John's wife Lois for the great pics. Her timing is amazing!

Kelli - The kids all had much more important stuff to tend to this time, but there is always next year. The turkey legs tasted a lot better than the mud :)

JG - I've been secretly dreaming about a sub 3 at this race(I guess it's not a secret any more). I'm still not sure if I will go for it or not. I may not decide until mile 4 is done. That's the first one after the tunnel.

Great pictures! I'm glad you got your wife involved in the mud a little bit!

Just tell your ribs they can hurt all they want on the 25th.

Scott - I plan to frame that picture and hang it in the man cave. Kym and her mom both came out to watch the mayhem. After the race we all went to snoqualmie falls for a walk and then to lunch at La Isla in Ballard. You should do it with us next year.

This looks AWESOME! I was sad I had to miss the Seattle one but I am definitely doing the Portland one in September!
