No pain in my foot at all! It would have been a perfect run if not for the cramp I got in my right calf. At first it was a welcome change from pain I expected in my foot and I figured it would just go away after a mile or so. Not the case at all. It nagged me for the last 3 miles. I need to find my stick.

Very glad that your foot did not bother you - that shot is a big deal!

From Kelli on Wed, Feb 02, 2011 at 21:57:58 from 71.219.84.215

Good news, but just thinking of that shot makes me cry for you!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Wed, Feb 02, 2011 at 23:46:13 from 75.196.108.227

Thanks, the shot was worth it, but now I'm worried about my calf. It is still sore and there's no way I could run on it right now. I'm afraid it was a little more than just a cramp :(

Did you find the stick?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Thu, Feb 03, 2011 at 10:37:09 from 72.102.170.54

April - Yes, I found my stick. I think what I really need is a good massage and maybe some presscription muscle relaxers. This is going to have me down for at least a few days.

From Lily on Thu, Feb 03, 2011 at 10:39:05 from 67.199.181.73

Hope your calf gets better!

From april27 on Thu, Feb 03, 2011 at 12:28:15 from 99.188.251.180

I think massages should be free for all runners!

From Kelli on Thu, Feb 03, 2011 at 23:28:10 from 71.219.84.215

SHOOT! I hope it is just sore, ice it and Advil up!!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sat, Feb 05, 2011 at 02:04:16 from 76.121.76.165

Massage today... Getting better, but still very sore. I'm not even considering running for at least 2 more days.

From april27 on Sat, Feb 05, 2011 at 08:37:41 from 99.188.251.180

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Feb 06, 2011 at 13:31:06 from 76.121.76.165

I thought I was all better this morning until I got the the stairs. Maybe tomorrow...

From Kelli on Sun, Feb 06, 2011 at 14:01:33 from 71.219.84.215

DANG!!!! I am sorry. I know if you are not running it must REALLY hurt! Here is for hoping for tomorrow.

From april27 on Sun, Feb 06, 2011 at 14:29:05 from 99.188.251.180

Oh dear! How did the massage feel?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Feb 06, 2011 at 20:56:33 from 76.121.76.165

The massage was great except for the intense pain :) Seriously, I think it loosened up quite a bit. I'm really glad I went, I just wish it would get better faster. I am going stir crazy!

From april27 on Sun, Feb 06, 2011 at 23:22:33 from 99.188.251.180

can you cross train again?

From DLTheo on Mon, Feb 07, 2011 at 12:42:06 from 155.130.107.42

Dang, sorry Mike. I hope this gets worked out soon. Sounds like you're doing the right thing, though, waiting it out.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Mon, Feb 07, 2011 at 13:11:55 from 69.96.135.140

I got about 3 fast walking miles in this morning. I walked to work and then had a couple work orders at opposite ends of our mile-wide campus. My calf muscle feels fine now, but I have some weird tightness behind my knee. Probably just from not stretching all week. I didn't want to aggrivate that muscle at all. Maybe that was a bad call. I'm going to do some light stretching today and try a short run tomorrow.
