7:15am

I felt like I was dressed for battle this morning wearing sweats, 2 shirts, beanie, gloves w/hotties, garmin w/hrm, and mp3 player. I did a big 17 mile loop around Lakewood and got farther away from home than I've been on foot since May. It was cold and very windy, but the way I was dressed, it never really bothered me. The first 15 went by pretty easy, the last two required a little more work, but they weren't too terrible. I probably should have drank more before I left, when I got home I chugged two 32oz bottles of sportdrink and was still a little thirsty. That couldn't be good.Oh, I also listened to chapters 9-45 of Isaiah. Good stuff :)

Great run! I am so impressed by the consistency of your splits. When I can keep that consistent I'll be very pleased with myself!

Did somebody say egg nog. Well, now that I know where you live, I'll be coming over for a glass.

Come on over, any time.

Impressive! YOu did a great job! I wish I was so consistent with my splits!

Those are some fast 17 miles there!! And I am glad you dressed like a warrior runner!

Isiah is HARD stuff. I need Isiah for dummies, there has to be such a thing!

From rattletrap on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 12:46:24 from 70.192.96.141

April27 - Thanks. I was shooting for 7:30s so I guess I did pretty good.

Kelli - That's not so fast considering I'm at sea level, it was mostly flat and it was down in the low thirties. I had to run in the 7s just to keep warm! You are the speedy one.

Isaiah is hard, but full of truth and wisdom. Someday I hope to fully grasp it all. I bet they do have dummies books for the bible; they have them for just about everything. Oh, and if I was Burt I'd tease you for spelling Isaiah wrong, but I'm not, so I wont :)

From Burt on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 12:48:14 from 12.231.112.98

But I am, so I will. Kelli, Kelli, Kelli. Run a spell check for crying out loud.

From Kelli on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 15:34:21 from 71.219.71.229

I spelled it wrong on purpose just to see if anyone was paying attention!!! I only left out one letter.

I guess it would be hard to convince anyone out there that I really am kind of smart?!?

(Isaiah and Isiah both come out correct on my spell check, just so you know!)

From Burt on Tue, Dec 08, 2009 at 15:51:54 from 12.231.112.98

Hey, hey. Nobody's perfect. We understand. But some of us are less perfect than others...

Just place me at the bottom of the barrel, I am comfy there.
