I'm still nursing my back and my strained calf, so no running again. My back is good at times and runable but the calf is still giving me some serious problems... I am heating and then stretching and then rolling it with the big foam roller and then icing after trying to get it to loosen up, but still no luck. This is really trying my patience.

PM- I tried the elliptical after work just to test out the calf and I was able to do a little, 30 minutes at a moderate pace with a little resistance thrown in there for fun. The calf was a little uncomfortable but it didn't get any worse so I just went with it. After that I did my standard upper body workout and then some push-ups, I will try it again in the morning and see how the calf does and then I'll go from there.

PM- I jumped on the elliptical after work  and calf was a little sore but tolerable. 10 minute warm up and then I did the fast track which progresses up to 7 on the resistance, 20 minutes, after that I cooled down for another 10 minutes at a moderate pace. I finished up with some lower body weight training, well as much as my right leg would let me which wasn't very much, and then iced my tender spots.

Am-I jumped on the elliptical for 30 minutes, my calf was a bit of a bother so I might be taking the rest of the week off. I'll have to see how its doing in the morning and then make a decision at that time. I finished with some upper body weight training and then some push-ups.

Taking today off. My back is still giving me problems and that is a big concern because usually by now I'm feeling better but not so this time. Calf is slowly improving but I do have some sorenes in my IT band, but thats not a big deal... I'm falling apart;)
