45:00 minutes on the ellipitical this morning, I have a touch of a cold so I am not feeling the greatest. I did not push it this morning just tryed to keep an even pace and keep the heart rate below 130, and I think I did that. I also did the standard upper body workout on the bowflex that took about 30 minutes, I am getting tired of doing the elliptical it is wearing thin...

50:00 minutes on the old elliptical again today, I had to do it this evening as I didn't have any time this morning... I kept it at a nice even pace, my heart rate didn't get above 140 it averaged at 133, just trying to build those old base miles until I can run again. Its been just over 3 weeks so I am getting closer, I am hopefully starting to see the light at the other end of the tunnel. I also diD my standard workout on the bowflex, lower body, and then did my rubber ball core training with 70 push-ups in between sets. Tuesday's and Thursdays are killers and I am feeling it tonight, I hope I recovery fast enough for tomorrows training session. Oh well if I don't I will just have to muddle through...

45:00 minutes on the elliptcal at an easy pace, heart rate average was 128 so just a nice recovery type workout... I also did the standard lower body workout on the bowflex and core training for about 30 miuntes, using the rubber ball and doing push-ups in between sets . Monday it will be 4 weeks since I last ran, so I am getting close and I feel good as far as my leg goes I have been able to hop on it and there is no pain. the doctor said that this is a good sign that I have healed and am ready to go. But he wants me to take another week off before I start testing it out, so I will heed his advice... That will put me at 5 weeks, so then I will try and do a couple of laps around the track to try it out and then go from there.

| No workout today. I was walkiong down the stairs last night and I tweaked my ankle, no sprain but it was sore so I didn't do anything today. I am starting to get healthy and I didn't want to push it and make things worse, atleast not at this point. I will evaluate on Monday and then go from there. | Add Comment |
