My legs were kind of tired this morning, also my hip was a little sore but it seemed to loosen up about 2 miles into the run and then by the end it was tolerable:-) I was hoping to be pain free and totally healed by the end of the month but it doesn't look like that will be the case, I am still fighting this thing... Its tolerable but it is always there reminding me that I need to be careful. I ran out towards Payson Park but stopped about a half of a mile short, I hope to go all the way to the park on next Monday which brings in the nice rolling hills. My average pace was 9:12 with my heart rate average at 138, total time was 56:22. So I took it pretty slow and didn't try to push it as my hip was sore and my legs just weren't into it this morning! After the run I finished up with some upper body weight training, 2 sets of each exercise with at least 12 reps in each set, with low weight.

That's about it for today, see ya tomorrow.

My hip was extremely sore this morning even to the point of wondering if I should run, it finally loosened up but it took it almost until the end of the run to start to be tolerable, most days with in a mile or two its feeling good but not today:-( I am hoping that today was just a bad day and that tomorrow it will do better, I was able to kick it up a notch on the last mile with some strides that last mile was around an 8:00 mile so that was a small victory... My average pace was 9:15 with my heart rate average at 137, total time was 46:35 I also finished up with some lower body weight training on the legs and also some core training along with some push-ups.

See ya tomorrow

I ran the Loafer Canyon Route this morning, my hip and groin area were extremely sore this morning, but I just took it easy and towards the end I was doing some 8 minute miles. I almost got ran over today by some deer, they totally spooked me at least they weren't bears that would have really been spooky! My average pace going up was 10:00 coming down it was a sub 8:30 mile on the way back for an average total of 9:30, my heart rate average was 139 total time was 57:24... I am going to hook my self back up to the E-Stem machine and start shooting some electricity into my groin and hip area to see if that will help with the healing and get it feeling better, it has been pretty sore the last week... Well that's about it, I guess I will see ya tomorrow. Hopefully I can still walk and run!

I just lost my whole entry so I will have to give you the shortened version. Hip was really sore but after about a mile it loosened up nicely. I ran out to GU corner and threw in some strides, I had some faster miles in there that I will count as marathon pace miles and they went as follows;

Mile 3- 8:04 (146) with 4 strides.

Mile 4- 8:30 (141) with 2 strides and then I took it pretty easy.

Mile 6- 8:12(146) on this one I did a half mile tempo.

Finished up with my lower body weight training on the Bowflex and then did some core training on the rubber ball and added in some push-ups at the end. All in All I am happy with the run this morning, I hope tomorrow goes just as well. The E-Stem machine seemed to help my hip loosen up quicker so I will continue to use that every night to see if continues to help it heal.

See ya tomorrow.

My hip and leg felt pretty good when I woke up this morning, but as I got into my run it started to get sore, but tolerable... I think the E-Stem is working so I will continue to do that every night before bed and hope for the best. I ran out towards Payson park but stopped about a mile short as this is an easy day and I need to conserve energy for the long run tomorrow. My average pace was 9:22 with my heart rate at 133, total time was 48:43 so it was a nice easy recovery run. I also did my upper body weight training, 2 sets of each exercise with at least 12 reps in each set. Well, that's about it. long run tomorrow and I am suppose to run with my neighbor and one of his friends so we will see how that goes.

See ya tomorrow.

My hip was feeling pretty good today which is a change, so that was pretty cool. I ran this morning with my Neighbor Jeff Long, he's running SGM, and we had a good time with some fun conversations. He spent a year in Afghanistan and got blown up by a suicide bomber he is lucky to be a live! It was good to here about the war first hand from someone who actually has been there and he shared with me alot of great success stories that our going on over there that we as a nation never here about. Mostly because of the Elite media and how they don't want us to succeed over there, which is really sad, most of the military guys have no use for the elite media. He said they really like to listen to Fox news as they were the only ones who would tell the truth about what is going over there, it made me angry. I sure appreciate his service, he is a true inspiration to me...

Well, back to the run, we ran out to the riverbottoms via canal road and did the two mile loop down there and then we headed up around pretty little hill and then we made our way back home. Our average pace was 8:45 and  my heart rate average was 143, total time was 2:11:37, we had some faster miles in the middle but for the most part we took it easy. We stopped and chatted with all the Spanish Fork group at GU corner for just a bit and that was really cool seeing everyone, it was the first time I have run with out my music in a long time and it was kind of fun...

Well thats about it time for a nap!
