I ran out towards Payson this morning and the old IT band felt pretty good on the way out but on the way back it really gave me some fits! It was brutal! I had to walk some of the way and it seemed the stretching didn't help it at all today, very frustrating!!! When I returned home I was able to rest it for a few minutes before I went out with my son Ethan for a mile and a half, I had to walk on the way back with him but he was able to continue on and I would run just a little so I could keep him in my sites. This is becoming a very frustrating injury and this seems to the same old song and dance for me when I am preparing to run a marathon, I just can't seem to stay healthy. I will try again tomorrow and see how it goes and if the recovery is there, I am  waiting for my roller to get here to see if that will help loosen and get me back on track. Everyone I have talked to say they really work and it will help with the healing process and it will allow me to continue to run, so we shall see. Average pace was 8:31, and then it was just under 9 minutes for me with my son, although he was probably around and 8:40 mile after he left me in the dust!

See ya tomorrow.

Man Clay that really sucks! I hope that the roller helps. Thanks for the chocolate cake! It is the best cake ever. I also weighed more this morning, so that should tell you something. I hope the it band gets feeling better. I have a roller stick that you could borrow until yours arrives. Let me know.
