Strides, 800 in 2:27, starts. Then finished mileage. Tried to keep it slow but that didn't really work, too many emotions. Ran up airport then did a loop and ran back to the pit. Went to the edge and walked down into the trees to think. Stayed there awhile, it's really pretty down there. Race tomorrow

2 mile warmup. Raced the Connor Arnell Classic haha it was a great idea so shoutout to him. Got out pretty well I thought but the pace was super slow the first mile like 5:10 so that was my bad. Picked it up after hearing that split and switched off pacing. The other 2 splits were 5 flat each. Got outkicked by Connor and Christian Allen from Copper Hills who came to race with us. Not the time or finish I wanted but I'm not too disappointed cuz I lead most of the race into the wind. It was freezing cold but a really fun race.  Did a mile after before I had to leave to go to dinner with the fam. Did 2 more around PG while we were waiting for our food. The enchiladas were glorious so if you're in PG stop by Cocolitos

Some of the guys did the workout during fourth but I decided to stay in seminary. It was worth it cuz we had the best lesson ever. Went to state volleyball games after school and we won both in straight sets! Didn't get home til around 8:30 so I did a night run. 9 miles at 6:45 average pace. I was super hot cuz we're supposed to bundle up to get ready for the Arizona heat. Good run tho

1.5 mile warmup. 3 sets of 100m, 200, 300 up airport at 2 mile pace. Recovery jog back to start after each and a lap around the cemetery after each set. Had to do it by myself and didn't feel the best but I still stayed consistent and pushed it the last set. Pre footlocker tomorrow as a tempo

1.5 mile warmup. It was cold but it warmed up for our race. Slipped a couple times cuz I was wearing trainers and the ground was wet. And got shoved off the track but other than that, good race. Splits were 5:14, 5:15, 4:57, moved pretty well. Cooled down to art dye park in AF.

Went to Thom's after for power ball and protein shake. Then went to state championship for volleyball and we won!!!!! It was so sick.

Distance run at 6:25 average pace. I went with Connor and Asa but they both turned around cuz they did some miles earlier. So I ran a lot by myself but it felt good to go faster on a distance run for the first time in a while. Got back, stretched and did abs.

I got a running2win blog and it's pretty cool but I thought I'd finish out this season on fast running blog

Easy run at 7:15 pace. Almost go hit by a car and we jumped over car shadows as they passed which was fun. So shout out to Big T for starting that. Got back and did a little on the turf and some strides.

Distance run at 7:00 pace to Willow Park and back. It was freezing and windy and snowy but fun once we turned around. Went a lil over but no worries. On the way home my dad told me a quote "there's no such thing as bad weather, only weak minds" so that's going to be my new motto on days like this haha

1 mile warmup and then a mile of speed changes on the turf. They've gotten pretty annoying cuz no one actually does them at 5K pace which is kinda the point haha oh well their problem. 5.5 mile cool down to the park after the new road, did some laps around the grass and found a cool little trail. Idk where it goes tho cuz I didn't have enough mileage. Was going back and this elementary kid threw a pine cone at me. I was gonna go ninja on him but I didn't want to hurt the little guy lol

Got to the course and watched the girls in the large school open race. Shout out to Guppy for winning it and all the girls for getting fourth! Warmed up a mile and a half and then went to the starting line. Introductions and the national anthem and we were off. First mile was around 4:58 and hit the 2 mile in around 10 minutes. Felt pretty good and tried to keep passing people. Got out kicked by Joe right at the end which has really started to get disappointing so that's something I need to work on. Team got 8th which wasn't what we were hoping for but we did what we could. Shout out to Lone Peak for representing our region well and getting third in a very close race. They crushed it and they deserve to go to NXN with the way they've raced this season.

After the race I decided I'm going to be done for the season. It's been a long, hard 6 months of training and my body needs recovery. I want to have a killer track season so until then I'll just be cross training and running some easy miles here and there.

Distance run at 7:30 pace. Ran up at my cabin in the snow so that was fun. It's pretty hilly and higher elevation so it's a sick place to train. Saw a nice old guy running and I thought good for him, it's 10 degrees, 7 o'clock in the morning and snowing, good for him.
