I didn't get to bed Sunday night until 4 am. Our flight was canceled so we had to fly stanby and got bumped to the 1:00 am flight. Nedless to say I didn't run on Monday morning.

Today was 7 miles @ 8:10 pace then 3 miles with Callie @ 9:15 pace.

This week I should be starting my 16 week training for the CIM Marathon but I feel like I'm still just trying to build up some miles. I wish the weather would cool off a little. It was 77 degrees at 5:30 the morning when I ran.

So what up with these horizontal escalators? Are we such a lazy society that we can't walk 25 yards?

No fun today... 79 degrees, 77% humidity, 72% dewpoint. My watch was dead so I'm not sure what the time was. Not fast but plenty miserable. Squish, squish, squish as Matt would put it!

1 Peter 4:12-19

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

Today was the first day my shoulder didn't just hurt, it was only a little irritated feeling.

I only had a short somwhat slow run planned but when I started out I felt much better than I have in a while so I ran the first mile a little faster than usual. The second mile I decided to pick it up and run some tempo. After about a mile and a half I figured I should just run a 5K for the fun of it. 7:03 Avg Pace...not bad. The weather is still miserable though. After the 5K run I ran 2 slow miles with Callie.
