Even though this run was slow and short it wore me out. I think I'm just tired!

This seemed very hard. I even walked quite a bit. My quads were still very sore and tired.

Gym day. I was tried this morning so I only went 6 miles total. My quads aren't really sore any more, just tired.

I woke up earlier than planned and couldn't go back to sleep. The weather outside was cool and very windy so I decided to go to the Gym for my run. My plan was to run 13 miles @ 8:00 pace. My legs are starting to feel recovered but I'm still feeling a little tired. The gym was hot as usual but I got there early and was able to pick the treadmill nearest a fan. The first 10 miles felt pretty easy and I felt I still had some spring in my step through that point. I felt the first 10 miles felt more like a recovery run than a training run so at that point I decide to run 15 instead of 13. 14 and 15 were a little harder but felt okay. I always wonder at about this milage how tough another 11+ miles would be. I usually get discouraged at that point :-(  After the run my legs recovered quickly. I have not joint pain whatsoever at this time...Yeah!!

I felt pretty good on this run. My legs are about back, just a little tired. I was planning to run only 13 but at 13 it seemed that’s when I started to get tired and needed to push on a little longer.

Today was my fast day for the week, 5 mile Tempo Run. The weather was great for running although I always get cold when it's below about 50 degrees. I think this is going to be the only type speed work I'm going to do for a while. Last week I ran 55 miles with the debockled marathon and 36 miles so far this week. Tomorrow will be 10-12 really easy and Saturday 16-18 at marathon +30.

My plan was to run 1.5 warm-up, 10 @ 7:49 pace, then 1.5 cool-down. This run was harder than I expected. It was 63 degrees and drizzling rain the whole time. I felt very hot and tried to keep my HR down in the first miles (this didn't work) and this made me miss my goal a little. Miles 2 and 3 have the most hills so I tried to slow on these miles to help my HR. This run does not indicate a very good chance to run a successful marathon at this point :-(

My HR is crazy high for this speed and effort!
