Here are the pictures of my foot after the operation. About 20 stitches, a couple of buttons and wire holding it together. I asked for an extra spring in the toe to give me a little more speed but the doc wouldn't add that. :-(

Wow! Pretty neat pics. I don't know much about foot surgery, but that looks pretty clean. Doesn't look like he sliced any more than he had to. Maybe hold off on this weekends LR though.

Here's to quick healing. I can't believe he wouldn't give you the extra spring. Where's his sense of adventure?

From Yasir on Fri, Apr 10, 2015 at 16:15:47 from 99.20.240.157

you are tough and crazy doing all that running on it before surgery that's look serious. I thought you were just a whiny :) you dont need extra spring you fast enough.

really cool photos, thanks for sharing! So how long before the doc says you can go try that foot out! Has he got you putting any weight on it yet? Nice to see those x-rays, gives a better picture of what you were telling us!!! Get well really soon!!!

From Derunzo on Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 14:54:10 from 173.9.52.242

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 15:34:16 from 12.182.148.249

Wow! Can you walk around on it yet? Hope it's one on those things that looks more painful than it actually is...

Heal fast!

From I Just Run on Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 15:38:28 from 67.79.11.242

Thanks for checking in on me guys. I had to take three days off work to keep it elevated. Since then it's not been too bad. I can walk as long as I just walk on my heel (I have one of those big metal, foam, velcor boots). I used a cane for a few days to get around.

The doctor hasn't told me how long before I can run but I did ask him if he got it fixed good. He said "I think so" and I said "good because I'm sure going to test it!" His reply was "you runners!!!".

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 13, 2015 at 15:53:30 from 12.182.148.249

I've always wanted a cane...

Glad to hear the recovery is coming along good. Did running actually cause this injury or was it something else?

From Tom Slick on Tue, Apr 14, 2015 at 12:38:09 from 168.179.158.193

Why didn't you ask the doctor for one of those four wheeled walker things....you know the ones at the old folks home! (-:, (-:, (-:' . Get well soon...

I like how you posted these pictures in the future. Great pics, thanks for sharing. Glad the healing is moving ahead, praying for a quick full recovery. With the help of a 4 wheeled walker....
