A perfect day for a SGM.  About 50' at the start with a tail wind pushing us the first few miles.

The older I get the easier I cramp up.  I felt like I could run a 3:10 marathon but set out at a pace of 3:20.  It was very enjoyable running slower than you feel like you can run but also a little frustrating knowing you can't push as hard as you feel like you should.  Miles 1-7 (7:33, 7:39, 7:14, 7:22, 7:23, 7:18, 7:07)

Miles 8-15 (8:28, 8:37, 8:13, 8:32, 8:15, 7:43, 8:01, 7:15)  I watched my heartbeat and made sure it wasn't getting high.  A lot of slow miles.  Funny thing is that mile 15 was my fastest mile due to downhill but my heart rate was the lowest.

Miles 16-20 (7:12, 7:28, 7:38, 8:15, 7:36)  Everything was feeling easy.  The hill at mile 18 was no problem but I took it easy.

Miles 21-26 (8:36, 7:48, 8:38, 7:48, 7:59, 7:45,1:25)  Unfortunately,  just as I started to go down the fun downhill miles of 21-25 my left quad started grabbing so I had to walk for a minute until it was totally gone.  Then it was slow running after that with a couple more walk breaks.

All in all a good marathon.  Qualified for Boston by just over 10 minutes.  Got 12 out of 113 in my AD (55-59).
