~~Had several good friends from my neighborhood running the SGM for the first time.  Some of us stayed with the Great Tom Lee at his Condos.  I think all but one of the friends got a marathon PR.
It was a great day for a race.  We had a tail wind for a while.  I thought I was maybe in just a little better shape than last year when I had a great race a went Sub 3.  But this year as the run started I just didn't have quit the overall good feeling as last year. I ran with Mike P. until Veyo and then he took off.  I was hoping he'd break 3 hours but he slowed down at the end also and missed it by 59 seconds.
I got two minutes ahead of last years time by about mile 16 and I was hoping I could hold onto that time and coast in like last year but at mile 22 my left quad cramped up and forced me to take a 30 second walk break. At that point I knew sub 3 was not an option anymore.  I just tried to slow down enough so I wouldn't have to take many walk breaks.  I still had to take two more as my leg kept cramping up.
My legs are recovering remarkably well as I write this on Sunday afternoon.  Maybe I was in better shape I just got some dumb legs that like to cramp up.  I drank at every aid station, I ate a little along the way and took 5 salt/running tablets.
It was a great race.  SG did mess up on starting late this year by 15 minutes.  They loaded the buses to slow compared to prior years.

Couldn't get my spreadsheet to download into a good readable format that shows my last 8 years of running the SGM.

Congrats on a great race, sorry about the cramping late in the race. You ran very solid!
