- School started today. My school district is mask optional. Living in a red state makes this a nonsurprise. Unfortunately, our county just moved into the highest caategory for COVID-19 transmission. Our superintendent put out a statement saying, "What happens in school does not effect the community and what happens in the community does not effect the schools." WHAT?????
