Sweet Ogden Valley evening run! Decided I better get off the couch and hit the trails. Took the North Arm out to the marine and ran the road back.. getting dark. Leg felt mostly good during the run. Calf feels great post run achilles a little tight. Good sign.

Finally! A semi long run in the books. This was pretty much the make or brake run for STGM. I need to get into double digits with my run today. I decided it was a good morning for the Middle Fork / Island Loop Run. About half way down the middle fork road the leaders of the Huntsville Half went busting past (3 guys). Wanted to see how the leg would respond with some time and distance. Overall it felt pretty good.

Was able to sneak in a 4 mile run in over to my parents place. Hotter than expected, but felt good. Starting the week off with something - is something.

Sweet run down old snowbasin road. Needed to get some downhill miles in for STGM prep. Legs felt great - got winded though...I'm feeling the affects of taking it easy in July/Aug. Splits: 7:41, 6:59, 7:42, 11:37 (Jog/Walk up hill by Art Nord), 7:53, 6:32, 6:42. Tried to push it on the down's.... Maybe there's HOPE!

Great morning for a run around Pineview. Headed out around 7:00am a bit chilly, but beautiful. Wanted to get some more distance in before STGM. Legs and abs still reeling from the workout on Thursday, so I battled a bit of fatigue, but great run to have done.

The "best" long run I've had for a while. Had Jamie drop me just over 11 miles up South Fork Canyon. Leaves are starting to change and a little head wind made for a great run down to the turn. Leg's felt pretty good throughout quads got a little tight. Started getting warm/hot about mile 15 so, some good STGM milage. Added on the shane, island, car wash extentions to hit the big 20. Time for a MonStEr.

Awesome Sunday afternoon hike up causey to see the Kokanee Salmon with the family. Although the salmon run wasn't as plentiful as past falls, it's a great hike. Chad took his garmin so we ended up hiking about 5 miles.

First taste of an Ultra 100! Paced a fellow Swamp (John) during the Bear 100 last night. I did 2 legs with him. First one took us out of Franklin Basin to the Logan River Trail Head and the second one took us from Logan River to Beaver Mtn Resort (Yurt). These were miles 61 - 76 for John. Beautiful night the stars were bright - I also saw the coolest meteor I've ever seen it burned good. We started my first leg at 11:13 pm and Finished with the second leg at 4:33 AM. We had some serious grinder climbs on our sections. I had a lot of fun and it was great seeing all the glow sticks, reflective tape and people wandering around in the dark. We are a curious bunch. The pace wasn't much to write home about, but I kept John moving and we picked off about 10 people on our second leg!!

Dropped Luke off at soccer practice and ran around the Liberty loop. Down River road and up the climb to Wolf Mountain road and then back to the park. Was more fatigued then I thought I would be from Fri/Sat. No idea what to expect for the STGM. Goals - Finish, Under 4, and work my way down from there. Peace. Looking forward to the experience.
