I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

AM: 6 miles around Liberty Park. It was a delightful morning but there were lots of young, bouncy runners out and it made me feel wistful.

PM: 8.25 miles on the treadmill. Spent quite a bit of time at 8 mph or faster which made me feel good.

If I could exchange my 59 year old tendons and connective tissue for a 40 year-olds, I could still run pretty fast.

AM: 7.5 eliptical miles and 1 mile row.

PM: Walked to Barnes and Nobel in Sugar House where I am sitting in the cafe typing this. I'm fortunate to be able to walk places like movie theater, breweries, restaurants, and book stores. On the other hand, we had a checklist of things we wanted when we moved here and being able to walk places was on the list so maybe fortunate isn't the right word.
