Rob, what coaching certifications did you ever get? Was it worth it?

Hey Jon. I have the USATF Level I and the USTFCCCA Endurance Specialist Certification. It addition, I always made it a point to attend every conference I could.
It was worth it to me because I was usually able to convince my school to pay for it. I also met and continued to communicate with several of the best coaches in the country. Honestly, that was probably the most valuable aspect. The type of coaches who attend these things almost never feel like they have all the answers and are eager to learn from others. They are also really excited about the sport and coaching in general and I thought it was important to surround myself with people like that.
