Well, I feel a little soreness from yesterday but not nearly as much as I expected. Probably a short, easy run this afternoon plus some lifting or cross training.

Something you might be interested in. My daughter is a double major at the U of U. History and English, she is a Jr. She attended high school at West and did very will in their AP/IB program. She killed her AP history exams, whatever the high scores are, 5 I think, and 6 on the IB tests. Anyway, I floated the idea to her about being a guest speaker in a high school AP history class. Needless to say she is well versed in history and, as she mentioned to me, she could talk about what a history major is like compared to high school AP. I'd like to think she could give a talk on whatever part of history your class might be covering. My motivation for bringing this to you is to give my daughter a new and different experience. I know she would do an excellent job and I think it would be exciting for your students too. Your students will soon be in my daughter's shoes in just a few years and I think everyone would enjoy this interaction. She's a full time student, plus works about 20 hours a week, scheduling would be tough but I'm sure the two of you could work something out. Don't be afraid to say no, I'm just throwing this out there to the both of you and your students.

Hey Michael. I would be interested in that but would like to do it in the spring following the AP exam ok? I just get so swamped trying to get it all in.
What is your daughter interested in career wise?

Cool. I forgot to mention a timeline, or lack of one actually. I'll let her know. She is undecided about a career but she keeps saying that there are many options for English/History majors. I think she has ruled out teaching but I'm not 100% convinced of that. Maybe once she steps away for academia for a while she might have a change of heart. We've "groomed" her for college from the day she was born, so she's had a gutfull, but I'm glad it worked out. Sometimes you have no control over the path your child may take, but this one worked out. Anyway, got off on a tangent there, I'll let her know what you said. Thank you, I'm excited!

Mike, she's right there are many options: teaching English, teaching history, teaching history and English! Those were my majors.

There's always President of the United States. George Bush majored in history.
