AM: Left early to do Grandeur Peak by myself. 6.5 miles up and down. Drizzly and chilly which matched my mood. Only saw a couple other people.

I let Andy sleep in because this was his last morning at home. When he wakes up tomorrow morning he will be going over 50 hours without sleep. We went to brunch when I got home. Very nice. Then we just hung around the house and took care of his truck and other last minute things. Packed the small handfull of items he can bring, said goodbye to some neighbors, and went to the hotel by the MEPS. I hung around the hotel for a while and even did a decent workout with him in the hotel gym, a very good one.

PM: 1 mile treadmill jog etc.

Tomorrow I will go to the MEPS at 10:30 to watch him swear-in and give him one last hug. Very thankful that tomorrow is a teacher work day with no students.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and Ann and of course Andy as he sets out on this new journey.

I echo Bret’s sentiments. I feel like I know your kids because of the blog.

Thanks so much for this! He lands in San Diego in about an hour and then people will be screaming at him all night. He'll be expected to scream back. Andy is quiet and soft spoken so I worry about that a little bit.
