AM: 3rd attempt at my new favorite race. The hardish run Thursday night was a mistake - my legs never felt good but I did manage 3rd place and only 40 seconds slower than last year. I was definitely feeling every hill and the 7500 feet though!

Now off to the beer and bar-b-q.

PM: Ann and I hiked 3.5 miles to the "Sacred Rim" in the Wind River Range.

Very good result on tired legs. Why are we so hard on ourselves? 🤣

For me it's because I will go to a workout that worked well for me 10 or 15 years ago and forget that I don't recover nearly as fast now.

Great race, not losing a step.

Nice. Beer and BBQ sounds perfect after a race.

Jeff - I've noticed that the slower you run, the more steps you actually take, so I'm gaining steps!
