I HATE the stair master!!!! Every now and then I will get a little "I wanna be like Fritz" hankering and get on it. Then I swear I will never get on it again!

In other words, NICE workout!!!

Quick question: What do you think a safe weekly mileage is for an almost 11 year old girl (very fit, very active)?

What meet is your team's first meet?

Teena - does she play any other sports?

Hey Conner - The Grass Relays at AF. How about you?

It's not too late to start talking to your dad about leaving Logan and moving down to Sandy right? :)

Haha, yeah. Our first meet is the Sugarhouse park meet, and it's a week from Friday.

I live walking distance from Sugarhouse. Probably come over and watch.

Yep. Her passion is basketball but she is also a kick butt soccer player. She is only 4'3". She took 3rd place in the youth USATF state meet for the 1500 meters with a 6:38:xx this year with very little training. I told her that I thought she should only run between 7-10 miles a week. But I have no idea what I am talking about. I thought you would have a much better idea. :)

Oh yeah ... and though she keeps telling me that she is almost 11 she is really only 10 1/2. She turns 11 at the end of February. She will be going into the 5th grade. (Can't believe she even convinced me, her mother, that she was almost 11!!!!):)

Found this great article: http://runningtimes.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=23029&PageNum=1

I think 10 miles a week is absolutely safe for her. She is loving it and really enjoying herself. (Looks like children could run a lot more than that safely if that is what they love doing.) :)
