I'm thrilled that the Highland High crew agreed to wait so I could join them at 11:30 this morning after I took the kids to church. Also allowed things to warm up to a balmy 10 degrees or so. I've noticed a weird thing about trying to run and have a conversation when it's that cold. My neck and jaw muscles get numb and it feels like trying to talk when you're drunk. The words don't come out right.

It's great to finally feel like a runner again. A couple months ago running 15 miles was unthinkable. Not completely there - I feel like I do after a 20 miler when I'm fit - but getting there.

Ended up doing 15 miles in 1:54. I'm happy with that.  Got home just in time to watch the thrilling ending of the Atlanta-Seattle game.

that was a thrilling yet terrible ending. timeout whaaa? booooo.

numb mouth syndrome is tough when trying to talk, but i mostly hate it because i have to wait for my mouth to thaw out before i can eat.

Good to see you back training and feeling like a runner. A couple more of those long runs and you'll start to feel like you're 47 - again:)

Thanks Bam. Plus hanging out with these youngsters helps.
