4.15 miles in 36 minutes around the neighborhood.

I could say that at least I'm going to save a lot of $ on race entry fees this year. But no, I registered for a bunch of races months in advance.

PM: 1.5 miles around the neighborhood. Stopped when the foot started hurting.

I drove around looking for the trailhead for a half hour and then gave up.

That's OK. I wouldn't have been able to hang with you guys or run 17 miles anyway.

Are you already throwing in the towel on the whole year?

From Rob Murphy on Sat, May 19, 2012 at 17:19:26 from 24.10.249.165

Jon - it's 50% physical and 50% mental. I'm quickly loosing my ability to run fast. Even when I'm not injured I don't feel any life in my stride.

Once I come to terms with the idea that I can't race the way I used to and my pride stops getting in the way, I'll start racing again.

What exactly is up with your foot? I'm sorry. chin up!

From Rob Murphy on Sat, May 19, 2012 at 17:32:10 from 24.10.249.165

Hey Lily - it's plantar fasciaitis or however you spell it. Plus what I'm starting to suspect might be arthritis in both knees. 1978-2012 is a longer career in a sport than most people have. I'll be OK. It's just a process I have to go through.
