| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. | PM hilly course. 1:04:32 with 10:38 pace. 73 degrees out with 25 mph winds. 10:10, 10:24, 11:03, 11:19, 10:11, and 10:40 with 44 sec to finish. HR 129. Last half mile wind was blowing straight at me so I stopped at 6.07 when I would normally go 6.2. |

| PM run70 degrees with slight wind. 29:31 with 9:32 pace. 9:40, 9:30, and 9:28 with 8:51 for last tenth mile. Mile loop. HR 134 with max at 163. Three cars slowed me at the same time and I ran faster to get past them. This loop has a min and max elevation difference of 25 feet but each mile has a total of 45 feet up and 45 down. It is the flattest course I run. |
