Running Accomplishments:

I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year.

Personal:

I have been an educator for 32 years. My wife, Margaret, and I have 6 children and at the present time 6 grandchildren. Running helps to keep me level. I love it and hope to continue to run for many years to come.

15 minutes on the bike. Core workout times 40. 6 pull-ups each way. Lift some. It all felt good. Legs still a little tired.

PM run. Ran hard. Was chased by a pit bull and another dog. Course was haphazard because of that. Phone said 45:21 with 8:56 pace. It also said no mile was under 9 minutes on the splits. Not sure what that means. According to the splits i ran 46:12 and some change. Suffice it to say that it was about 5 miles at about 9 min pace.

Ran desert course. Was windy. 21mph ave. 49:19 with 9:48 pace. Splits don't add again today. Splits say time was 53 plus minutes. I had to stop for phone twice. I have never had to pause much with this app. Maybe it is adding the stop Times to each split. That makes sense because the 4th mile is when most of the stop happened and that's says almost 14 minutes for the stops. Doesn't make sense for yesterday though.
