| I am always grumpy when we run this route. Maybe it has to do with the fact that there is a large hill followed by inevitable wind. At least it's beautiful and I have an endlessly patient husband who tolerates my bad attitude. Love him.

| Did the easy three around the university. I picked up the pace three times on the last mile (about 1-2 minutes faster and 1-2 minutes recovery). I got one of my strong heart palpitations right at the end, but I was done, so it didn't matter :)

| I set out to do four or five down the frontage road but kept going. The slight uphill on the way back was a little tough but I made it. Chest was a bit tight at first (fatigue? Faster running yesterday? Anxiousness over today's rehearsal?), but it loosened up and didn't bother me.

| My eight year old has been begging to go running with me and today we made it happen. I thought we'd do an easy mile, or maybe two if she was really ambitious, but she wanted to try a 5k! It took a loooong time, but she toughed it out. She wants to go again on Monday. Looks like I have a new running partner.

| I did a slow 1.3 with my new partner :) She's struggling with side aches, but she says she wants to go again tomorrow. I hope she can hang on through the tough part because I want her to know that she can do it!

| I got both my daughters out this morning. I think we're going to try a 5k next weekend and I know they'll enjoy it more with a little preparation. We went out too late and they got a little too hot, but maybe they'll be motivated to get out earlier tomorrow. Besides, if I'm going to get some extra miles in, I've definitely got to start sooner. As my friend so wisely stated, sometimes you count the miles, and other times you make the miles count.

| I did my old favorite Wednesday run from back in the fall with Adam. It was super hard today though. I think I need to start getting up earlier - my body doesn't like the heat.

| Found a new three mile route - yay! Went over the old overpass to the "burning bush" and back. Not too bad on the hills.

| Another three miler with Brenda, then Adam and I ran the 5k route we have planned for a fun run next week. It took an extra mile to get back to the car. A little hot by the time we were done, but I felt good considering it's the most miles I've done in one day in a very long time.

| A very easy two miles. I took the girls out to the east bench trail. We ran a mile down hill (I did walk a little with the 8 year old) and then trudged back up again.

| Ran out to Industrial Road and back on Airport Road with Adam. Didn't leave until 8:15 and it was getting hot. Plenty of shade and downhill on the way out, just the opposite on the way back. A strong heart palpitation encouraged me to slow down a bit and we stopped for water at a Maverik and then a cool down in some shade. It felt more like 5 miles, but it wasn't. I absolutely love running at 6 am this time of year, but late nights are getting in the way.
