Short-Term Running Goals:

It's been a challenging year so far since Boston 2011.  When I got home from Boston my world changed when I found out I had some pretty severe food allergies. Since being tested I have been focused on building my health back up which has been a long slow process. What a difference it's made and I feel extremely blessed. For years I knew something was wrong and it's amazing to finally know that food can actually be a persons medicine to live a healthy life. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm hoping to start building more miles when I can and be injury free.  Maybe one of these days I'll be fast. Just for now I'm just very happy to be running.

Personal:

Happily married to Marlin Ordway. We've got 4 grown children between the two of us.  It's been fun watching them go through life - making mistakes and picking themselves back up.  I love seeming them happy and succeeding.

I have to be honest.  This long run was not fun.  When I started out it was cloudy and alittle windy. I didn't feel like being out there.  I was glad to get in the first hour.  It was tempting to stop because it started raining alittle.  Not many people were out. I had made a couple of potty stops because my stomach kept bothering me.  I was glad I decided to keep trying.  It didn't get any funner, but it did get 'somewhat' easier.  It was just one of those days.  No energy. I'm not sure how I got the 18 miles in, but, I was so glad it was done.  I'm sure I was alittle burnt out from the last few weeks training at work also.  I son't like complaining but it was just frustrating.  Tomorrows a new day!

I decided to get up and run this morning even though I don't have to work today.  It was pretty good - compared to yesterday.  Just ran 5 miles because I was meeting up with my sister for a bike ride before she had to go to work.  Just rode for 20 min's.   Already worked in the yard this morning and now heading out to run errands.

Ran intervals today. Felt pretty good during the run. 

w/up.  4x1200. 7:30 (158), 7:19 (165), 7:08 (169),  7:03 (173).

I haven't had to go into work until later in the morning so it's been nice to sleep alittle later - until 6am. Went down by the river to run.  There were alot more people out I noticed. I've been cutting wheat out of my diet and I think I've been noticing a difference. It's been kind of a pain. I felt pretty good durning the run.

I'm liking sleeping in until 6am and then going to the gym.  Did a tempo run at a 8:00 pace.  Thought about going longer, but I decided to do the Arch Trainer.  I was then able to do some weights before having to go to work.  I sure like when I have time to do other things than run.

Went out early this morning to run around the river.  I felt pretty good overall.  Just need to keep working at things.  Happy it's Friday!
